Why we made color Flight Bottles

While everything we design is carefully planned for, after 4 years we thought it was time to bring in some color to the otherwise 'spy gear-esque' demeanor of the bottle flight -- colored bottles.

In 2024, we introduced 'blaze orange' as a limited edition holiday offering.   It had so much demand after selling out, we were getting a lot of requests to bring it back and offer more colors.  Initially, we didn't have plans to offer further colors as it just didn't feel on brand.

The labeling window and glass marker have certainly served their purpose in identifying each bottle - but as we learned more about how customers and enthusiasts were using the bottles, we realized that adding some staple colors can add some additional unction:  Identifying the type of spirit/whiskey within.   Rye, Bottled in Bond, and Single Barrels are all commonly enjoyed in the whiskey world so we figured we would best match those spirits to a color.  That way, if you have 1 rye in your kit, the green color along would identify which bottle to enjoy without needing the marker.

So while there is no definitive color matching - as we know blue and red are used interchangeably for many spirits the below was our intent:

Green - Rye

Red - Single Barrel

Blue - Bottled in Bond

Gray - Bonus Color

We hope that you enjoy them and love seeing them used in the market and throughout social media.
